PGA LINKS Management was engaged by the Town of Cambridge (Perth, Western Australia) to provide consultancy services in relation to the restructuring of business operations at Wembley Golf Complex, one of the largest public golf facilities in Australia.
Wembley comprises a 36 hole public golf course and will also include a soon-to-be-completed multi level fully automated 80 bay driving range. The Wembley Golf Complex is situated in 122 hectares of native bush land, ten minutes from the Perth CBD and two minutes from City Beach.
PGA LINKS Management provides the following support:
- Development of the financial model and KPI reporting systems;
- Staff structure, employment conditions, recruitment and rostering;
- Operational policies and procedures;
- Information technology systems and accounting support;
- Fit out of the new Pro Shop, including merchandise selection
and pricing strategies;
- Fit out of the new Centre of Excellence, including best practice
training aids and technology;
- Development of strategies to increase the utilisation of facilities,
and
- Transition from previous operator to current in-house business model

for Quotation process, was selected by the Town of Cambridge to
provide specialist consultancy services to assist with the redevelopment
of the Wembley Golf Complex.
We committed in excess of $12 million to redevelop
the Wembley Golf Complex, which is situated in the heart of Perth
and is probably the most popular golf course in Australia. It
features 36 holes averaging a phenomenal 170,000 rounds of golf
played each year.
Council decided due to the significant
capital investment and more control to bring the management in-house.
At the same time, however, we couldn’t take such a high-risk
course of action without the very best of golf management consulting
services to help us optimise the opportunity and that’s
where PGA Links has been wonderful.

the Town of Cambridge to bring in-house the overall management,
by providing a number of key deliverables in relation to golf
